2/3/4 L/M/B - Something for Everyone on this Dead End Canyon's Ride

"Dead End Canyon's Ride" will be an All Club Ride that will stage from Sports Basement in San Ramon at 8:30.  There will be multiple options for every level of rider.  The first option includes a ride out Las Trampas and back.  The second option will include the same ride out Las Trampas, but after descending Las Trampas, riders will continue along San Ramon Blvd to Dublin Canyon where they will ride to the end of Eden and Cull Canyons.  The third option will be Las Trampas/Eden and Cull Canyon, but will continue down Foothill to Sunol and Kilkare Canyon.  There will be limited opportunities for fluid and fuel, so please prepare accordingly.

Here are the options and routes:

Option #1:  Las Trampas and back - 17 miles with 900' of climbing.  This route will be swept to the top of Las Trampas where there will be a regroup, but it will not be swept on the return to Sports Basement.

    https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27895896

Option #2:  Las Trampas/Eden and Cull Canyons - 60 miles with 3,528' of climbing.  There will be regroups at:   top of Las Trampas, Heyer Tennis Complex, and Bodie's Coffee.

    https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30319328

Option #3:  Las Trampas/Cull Canyon/Kilkare - 84 miles with 4,800' of climbing.  For those of you wanting to train for or participate in a true century, this is a good ride to train on.  At any point, it has an easy bail out where you can turn around or take a shorter route (unless, of course, you've gone all the way to Kilkare).  It will have regroups at:  Top of Las Trampas, Heyer Tennis Complex, Bodie's Coffee, and Sunol Train Station.

Hope to see you out there!

    3/4 M/B Multiple Options - 8:30 a.m.

Come join us for this climb up Mt. Hamilton in San Jose.  There are three different staging options.  Both the Hamilton and Hamilton/Livermore rides will stage at 8:30 on Alum in San Jose.  Park right across the street from Hwy 130.

    Option #1 - 2/3 L/M/B 37 Miles, 4,966 in elevation gain to the top.

Mt. Hamilton is a steady climb for about 18 miles with mild to moderate grades. There are restrooms at Joseph Grant Park, Porta Potties at the midway, and full restrooms at the top.  Fuel and fluids are very limited, so please be sure to bring plenty of both.

    https://ridewithgps.com/routes/13110246

    Option #2 - 3/4 M/B 67 miles, 7,163 in elevation gain into Livermore

This is a one way route from Alum Rock to Hamilton.  You will then descend into Livermore via Mines Road.  Please note there are limited facilities, so please are sure to bring plenty of fuel and fluids.  You will have the same restroom opportunity as the shorter route, but once you descend over the top of Hamilton, there are no facilities until you reach the Junction.  Please come prepared.  ***This route will require car pooling so you can get back to your car after the ride.  If you are interested in this ride, please be sure to organize your return ride to your car.***

    Option #3 - 3/4 M/B

This is a challenging ride from Livermore to Calaveras and Hamilton and returning through Livermore.  This ride will stage from Ernie Rodriquez Park in Livermore on Concannon and N. Livermore.  Plan to stage by 6:30 if you plan on meeting up with the group.  Like the other rides, this is a challenging ride with limited opportunities for fuel and fluids. Please come prepared.

WAW (Wednesday After Work) is a Wed. evening training ride series leaving from Les Knott Park in Livermore.

Doug will lead a B paced ride intended to get the heart rate up quickly and keep it there for an hour.  These rides are a good mid-week workout and are generally pretty brisk paced at 17-20 mph.  These are not no drop rides, but routes typically include an out and back or a shortcut option that allows you to catch back on if dropped.  Routes will vary and are usually posted on the calendar 24 hours prior to the ride.

Meet at the park at 655 N. Mines Rd. (corner of N. Mines and Highland Street in Livermore)
