Gary is committed to bicycle advocacy. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition. He also served on the Board of Directors of the California Bicycle Coalition for ten years, and the League of American Bicyclists board for nine years. In 2012 he established the National Legal Affairs Committee for the League.
