1-M 42 miles 10:00 a.m.  San Francisco Bay Trails

Many gravel roads. Ideal bikes are hybrid, cyclo cross, mountain bike with smooth tires or knobbies pumped up to 50 psi.  Start at Don Edwards San Francisco Bay Wildlife Refuge, Fremont.  Take Hwy 84 towards Dumbarton Bridge. Exit on Thornton. Go south about half a mile, turn right on Marshlands Road. Parking lot is approx. 1/4 mile on the right.  This is peak waterfowl season on the bay. There will be thousands of ducks of many species, plus many other shorebird species. Bring binoculars if you have.
