They are open Wednesday's 4pm to 8pm (Web site says 4pm-6pm). We will leave Heather Farm at 7:30am in time to get to our hotel and clean-up to be at the BHOF by 4pm. We do NOT have a sag wagon for the trip so everyone will have to carry what they need for an overnight.  Dick has set up lodging for our overnight in Davis on Wednesday, May 20th. Our home for the night will be the

Econo Lodge,

221 D Street Davis, CA

530-756-104

It is 1.5 blocks from the US Bicycle Hall of Fame and right in the downtown area of Davis. The Econo Lodge serves a continental breakfast each morning but it does NOT include waffles and other eggy breakfast items; but, it does sound like it is enough to fill us up in the morning to start the ride back to WC and we can get something more substantial when we make our morning stop.  Dick has requested that they block 10 rooms (3 king size rooms for couples at a rate of $75) and (7 double rooms for singles to share at $79).  Hopefully all the overnighters have already made their reservations. Rooms can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to our arrival. Our block of rooms is being held in the name of Walnut Creek Bicycle Group - you need to individually make your reservation as Dick has only reserved a block of rooms. Many of you have already paired up to share the double rooms so one of you should make the reservation. Anyone in need of a roommate should give Dick call at 925-285-0201 and Dick will find someone to share a room with.

There is also the option to only ride up to Davis and take the Capitol Corridor train back to Martinez at your leisure. You can find details on their website,

http://www.capitolcorridor.org/.

For those not wishing to ride all the way from Heather Farm, one can join the ride up to Davis at the entrance to the Benicia Bridge Bike Trail. We will not leave that point on the route before 8:15am on Wednesday.

I’m looking forward to a great tour.

Cheers,

Pete
