For the A1 & A2 Groups we are going to do something we haven’t done very often; The Real Refinery Loop. We'll head out to Franklin Canyon via Pleasant Hill, Reliez Valley and Alhambra Valley  Roads. We've done that part a bazillion times but at the top of Franklin Canyon Rd. is where we'll change things up. We'll head up and over the Cummings Skyway to San Pablo Ave. From there we'll role along the Carquinez Straight through the towns Hercules & Pinole. In Pinole we'll catch Apian Way to San Pablo Dam / Camino Pablo into Orinda. From there we'll head back into Lafayette and home. It's long one, 68 miles. Because we don't do this one often please look at the map, download it if you can and please don’t leave anyone out there.

The B1 Group will roll out a few minutes after the A Groups and take the same route but at the top of Franklin Canyon we'll pull a u-turn and head back down Franklin Canyon to Alhambra Ave. From there it's Alhambra to Taylor to Pleasant Hill to Olympic to Tice Valley to Crest to Hillgrade to SRV Blvd. and home. 53 miles and 2,800 feet of climbing

No working link for this B1 group yet, description is above.

The B2 Group will do the Glorietta Blvd. Route. We’ll snake through Alamo and Lafayette and head up to the end of St. Mary's. After we refuel, we make a quick left onto Canyon followed by a quick right onto Moraga Way. A few miles up Moraga Way we'll turn onto Glorietta Blvd (be careful not to overshoot and we'll regroup after the the right on Glorietta) which takes us to Acalanes Rd. then to Mt. Diablo Blvd. into Lafayette and then home via Olympic, Tice Valley Rd. and San Ramon Valley Blvd. That just shy of 43 miles and just over 1,700 ft. of climbing.

For the C1 we’ll do the Upper Happy Valley Route. Like the other groups we’ll head into Lafayette the usual way but as we pop out of the neighborhoods on Moraga Rd. instead of going straight to St. Mary’s Rd. a fairly quick right on to Brooks St. then a right on Mountain View Dr. which takes us to Mt. Diablo Blvd. We’ll take Mt. Diablo out through Lafayette to Acalanes, a right on Acalanes and El Nido Ranch Rd. will get us to Upper Happy Valley Rd. I suggest a regroup at the top of Upper Happy Valley Rd. before descending Happy Valley Rd. We’ll then go left and up and over Deer Hill Rd. then take Pleasant Hill Rd. to Olympic to Tice Valley and home. That is just over 36 miles.

I am not sure what ride I am doing so I may need a leader for the C2 Group. This ride has no planned route. We'll likely roll out with the C1 Group but go as long or as short; as slow or as fast as riders want to. Beginner? Call a friend and lets ride together and you'll see how much fun group rides are!
