BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!   Join us on a trip to Tucson, Arizona in late February. We will be there from February 24 to March 4 for a fixed based riding adventure. The drive to Tucson is approximately 13 hours but you can fly and rent a bike and a car.

If you are interested, book your room (see below) and let us know that you will be joining us and we will put you on a group e-mail list to keep everyone update.

Here are the specifics of our trip:

DATES:  Arriving Tucson on February 24.  Checking out of hotel and heading home on March 4.  To reserve a room for 9 nights, or a shorter period if you desire, see below.

HOTEL:  We will stay at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham East, 6404 East Broadway in Tucson.  The average cost of a room is approximately $112.33 a night (plus tax of $17.54 a night). This makes the total cost for 9 nights about $1,168.83 (or $584.42 each if you share).  Amenities includes refrigerator, microwave, WIFI, TV, breakfast, outdoor pool and a large hot tub. This hotel is not fancy but has a central location close to main bike trails and there are many restaurant choices within walking distance.  There are other hotel choices if you want to look around the area but most rides will start from the La Quinta.  TO BOOK  A ROOM AT THE LA QUINTA INN EAST CALL 1-520-747-1414. MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR THE WEEKLY RATE.

NOTE: Last year people who procrastinated had to pay more or stay elsewhere because the hotel was booked up. You can book a room and cancel it later if you change your mind.

RIDING OPTIONS:  There are a lot of good rides in Tucson.  You can see some of them from the links below. There are flat rides as well as climbs. We will choose rides between 35 and 60 miles. Many rides are out and back, so they can be shortened. There is a loop trail around Tucson, so we will start most of the rides from the hotel, but a car will be necessary for rides up Mt. Lemmon and Kitt Peak. The group will choose rides from the list of Ride with GPS routes below.  There is a variety of things to do around Tucson including hiking, bird watching, the desert museum, art and Bioshere 2 to name a few.
