3 M/B 62.4 miles, elevation gain ~ 1,800'
Each rider must register and agree to the release of liability agreement to participate in this event.
There will be two official rest/refuel stops. The first is at mile 15 at Gas Station and Mini Mart. The second rest stop is at mile 48 in the town of Winters in front of Steady Eddy’s restaurant. There is an option for riders to stop at mile 26 at Safeway in the shopping center. The support vehicle will not be stopping at this optional stop in order to be prepared for the riders when arriving in Winters.
This is a perfect route to do in the fall. Once we arrive in Davis, we can enjoy good Mexican food at Tres Hermanas, the restaurant that is directly across the street from the train station and has outdoor seating. Then we will hop on the 3:10pm train for a relaxing ride back to Martinez. We should arrive in Martinez at 3:55pm.
Rain or poor air quality cancels. I will send a ride cancel email to the group the morning of the ride if this is the case.
Trains leave Davis at 1:10pm, 3:10pm, 5:10pm. The train trip back to Martinez is 45 minutes.
Fare is $16 and $15 for persons over 65.
You must have PHOTO ID and face mask is recommended for the train ride!
You can purchase discounted train tickets in advance. Go to the below link for details. If you do purchase train tickets in advance, you should wait until the last possible date so that you are sure the weather and air quality will be good to us on Saturday and the ride won’t be cancelled.
