What: Martinez to Davis, return by train! Co-hosted with CBRE/Lamorinda Cycling
When: Saturday 11/10 at 8:30am
Where: Martinez Waterfront Park, 245 N Court St, Martinez, CA 94553 (meet at the first parking lot on the left side off Joe DiMaggio Drive.

There will be three rest/refuel stops. The first is at mile 15 at Gas Station and Mini Mart. The second is at mile 26 in the Safeway shopping center. The third rest stop is at mile 48 in the town of Winters in front of Steady Eddy’s restaurant. There are no services between mile 26 and mile 48, so make sure you have enough water, food and stamina to continue.
This is a perfect route to do in the fall. Once we arrive in Davis, we can enjoy some good Mexican eats at Tres Hermanas, the restaurant that is directly across the street from the train station. Then we will hop on the 2:25pm train for a relaxing ride back to Martinez. We should arrive in Martinez at 3:07pm.
Rain cancels. I will send a ride cancel email to the group the morning of the ride if this is the case.
Trains leave Davis at 12:25pm, 2:25pm, 4:10pm, 5:15pm, 5:55pm and 7:50pm. The train trip back to Martinez is 43 minutes.
Fare is $16 and $13.60 for persons over 62.
You must have PHOTO ID for the train ride!
You can purchase discounted train tickets in advance. Go to the below link for details. If you do purchase train tickets in advance, you should wait until the last possible date so that you are sure the weather will be good to us on Saturday and the ride won’t be cancelled.
