Feather Pedals Friendly - Livermore area

9:00 AM;  Feather Pedals Friendly - Cross / Holdener / Vineyards; 2L; 24/33 miles; Ernie Rodriques Softball Fields in Livermore

This ride goes over Cross Road, returning Patterson Pass and going through the vineyards over Holdener Hill, then the new bike path along Vineyard and Isabel and returning through southwest Livermore neighborhoods.  A longer option will take you to Pleasanton, returning on Stoneridge / West Jack London / Isabel bike trail.  

This ride stages from the Ernie Rodrigues Softball Fields at 1505 South Livermore Avenue just past the bike trail crossing and the Lutheran Church.  There are restrooms at the park.  

Following the ride, lunch and/or libations are available in downtown Livermore or Blacksmith Square, a short bike ride or drive from the ride start.  Parking is available in the lot behind First Street.  Continue on South Livermore Avenue past First Street, then turn left into the lot just past the pedestrian crosswalk.  

If excessive heat (90+ degrees) is forecast, then the ride can be shortened to about 14 miles by skipping the "western" half of the ride.,
