I have requested special permission for our group to have access to Calaveras Rd. It is "Officially" scheduled to be closed THROUGH the 30th. I will know by Tue. evening if this entry has been approved. If I am not able to obtain access, we will plan an alternate route.
UPDATE-
I HAVE BEEN INFORMED (from official sources) THAT THE CALAVERAS ROAD CLOSURE WILL CONTINUE UNTIL NOVEMBER 2nd. :-(
Therefore- The route we will do is a new one, with a new coffee stop (Devout Coffee) in the old town of Niles.
We will gather a group at Central Park in San Ramon to start at 8:30, for those wanting to shorten the ride, we will swing by Shannon Park for an 8:55 departure. The best way to shorten the route further is to turn around at some point on Palomares to do an Out & Back.
We plan on stopping by Canyon Lakes Brewery (640 Bollinger Can Way) after the ride for refreshments and a bite to eat. Please join us!
