Types: Group A. Brisk pace with occasional regroups.
Group B. Leisurely pace with several regroups.
When: Saturday, 17 June 2023, Rolling at 9:00AM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for check in and safety briefing.

Group A & B rides will both start and end at the same location. Bathrooms are available at the Safeway.

Ride Details:
We will start from the Trek Store in Alamo and head to Walnut Creek. From there we will head east and make our way to Reliez Valley Road. Reliez Valley Road will turn into Alhambra Valley Road. We will then turn left onto Bear Creek Road and tackle the Three Bears! We will make a left turn onto Camino Pablo Road and make our way to Orinda, where we will regroup for a coffee break at the Starbucks. From there we will make our way back to Alamo.
History Nugget:
We will be riding around Briones Regional Park. The park contains the original land of an 1842 Mexican land grant to the widow of Felipe Briones. The Briones started raising cattle there. After changing ownership a couple of times the area was established as an East Bay Regional Park in 1967.
Mileage and rating: 39.5 miles 3 L/M pace with 2863 ft. of climbing.
You must register online on the VSBC website or via the Wild Apricot app in order to participate in the ride. Please bring your own route sheet as I will not have any paper copies. You do not have to be a member to ride with us, however we ask that you become a member if you ride with us often so you can take advantage of all the member benefits.
In case of cancellation due to rain or any other reason, an email will be sent at least 2 hours before the start of the ride.
