PLEASE NOTE SPECIAL START TIME OF 9:30 A.M.
Wednesday are no-drop and between 25 to 40 miles in length, ridden at a leisurely to moderate pace.*
* To determine if this ride is appropriate for you, imagine pedaling a flat 15-mile route and be able to maintain an average rolling speed of 13-15 mph.
There is a coffee stop on all rides.
You don't need to be a member to ride with us, but everyone must register on the VSBC website or Wild Apricot app in order to participate! Please download the route as we will not have paper copies.
And when you do ride with us more than three or four times in a year, we ask that you show your appreciation and support by joining the Club as a member! :-). If you would like to lead a Wednesday ride, please contact David Glazer, 415-847-5046, or dbglazer@comcast.net.
Meet at 9:30 at the San Francisco Ferry Building
I don't recommend driving with the SF traffic and parking issues. I will be taking the 8:30 AM Walnut Creek BART train, to arrive at the Embarcadero Station at 9:10. The Ferry Bldg is an easy 2 blocks away. The fare is $6.35 to/from Embarcadero so $12.70 total and parking in the North Garage is $5.00 for the day. You can use your phone to pay the train fare at the turnstile, using either your Clipper Card or Credit Card, but the fastest way to pay for garage parking is using BART App entering your License Plate number otherwise you have to use one of the machines at the station entrance, inputting your parking space number, which takes longer, especially if there is a line of people or the machine is not working properly.
Arrive in time to be ready to ride at 9:30 a.m. Please make note of ride host's phone number, in case you run into difficulty and need to notify her.
